NC1&2: The class is for the students with no or very limited Chinese experience. It focuses on the developments of listening, speaking in Mandarin Chinese in everyday communication settings. Students will learn through Songs, Nursery Rhymes, and Conversations. Pinyin and basic writing will also be introduced.

NC1&2课程适于没有接触过中文，多为来自美国家庭和双语家庭的学生。内容包括听，说日常中文用语，拼音及汉字基本书写等。通过对话，歌谣，歌曲等方式学习中国文化及汉语。

C1: The class focus on Pinyin, recognizing Chinese characters, speaking, and listening. Writing rules and stroke order are also introduced.

C1课程重点为拼音，识字，听，说及掌握书写汉字的比划，笔顺等以及中国文化。此班适合有中文背景的初学者。

C2: This course will focus on Chinese characters, reading and writing skills. Students will learn creation, evolution and stroke order of Characters, basic sentence pattern analysis, and development of language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

C2课程着重于字，词，阅读及初级写作。学生会学习汉字的由来，演变，笔画笔顺，组词，及基本的句子结构并加入中国文化的学习。

C3: The course will further emphasize on Chinese character, and sentence composition. Students will gain additional proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Mandarin in practical situation.

C3课程着重于较深度的字词，句子结构。对课文的理解，对中国文化和历史的了解，以及在听说读写各个方面都有更高要求。

C4: This class will teach grammar and improve reading and writing skills in Mandarin. Continue to build up the students’ vocabulary and compose correct sentences. Students will be able to write simple paragraphs at the end of the school year.

C4课程侧重于中文语法，词汇和句型的运用及写作。在此班学习的学生们已经掌握了足够的词汇量，要求做小段落的写作。

C5: This class will be focusing on (1) expanding and enriching the students’ vocabulary significantly; (2) introducing advanced Chinese grammar; (3) developing the students’ abilities to read and analyze modern Chinese prose, essays and short stories; (4) basic training of Chinese writing.

C5课程着重于词汇量的积累，深度的中文语法。要求学生们分析文章，诗歌并具备初级写作文的水平。
